The Roland E-20 was the first arranger keyboard  introduced in 1988 which was described as an “Intelligent Synthesizer”.

Roland has produced subsequent generations of the E-series line Arranger Keyboard in the last four decades to dominate the home keyboard market.

Roland’s R&D team interviewed and researched many Indian musical keyboard players who were beginners and part-time musicians, and some of them were professional one-man band artists. Their opinions helped in shaping the new Roland E-X Series Arranger Keyboards. One could call the E-X50 the upgraded version of the E-X20 and E-X30, but there is so much more in that. Come, let’s look into the features and difference between the E-X20, E-X30, and E-X50.

DISPLAY

E-X20, E-X30, E-X50 : The E-X Series Arranger Keyboard comes with Custom Display that helps you to disclose all parameters and values related to the current operation. Menus, and the overall user interface is designed super easy!

MAXIMUM POLYPHONY

If you’re looking for an exhaustive walkthrough, Roland has expanded the Polyphony expectation by upgrading 128 Voices to 256 Voices for the E-X30 and E-X50.

CONTROLLERS

E-X Series Arranger Keyboard’s Pitch Bend wheel helps adjust your notes’ oscillator frequency—up or down. This control is generally hard-wired to a pitch bend wheel on a keyboard for moving between notes with a trumpet, or bending the strings during a guitar solo.

WAVE MEMORY

Roland’s Upgraded piano and latest synth voices usually require significantly more wave memory which affects the number and quality of voices. More memory allows more voices – more samples per voice, longer samples per voice, etc. Therefore, Roland’s E-X series Updated Arranger comes with 128 MB Wave memory.

TONES & DRUM SETS

The New Upgraded E-X series Arranger comes with 433+256 (GM2) Tones and a 9+9 (GM2) Drum Kit. Included are all the sounds from the Roland’s Legacy Arranger, and traditional ethnic instruments like Harmonium, Sitar, Santoor, Sarod, Flute Shehnai, and many more!

STYLES

In the Upgraded E-X Arranger Keyboard, Roland provides local backing tracks in style format that can match the needs of your rhythm and the accompaniment with the tempo of what you’re playing. This has become a unique tool for those who are into producing, performing, and learning music.

ONE TOUCH SETTING (OTS)

E-X Series Arranger with OTS Function is a unique tool that allows you to store and recall your musical settings with a just single touch of a button. So now you can store 4 settings/styles with Tempo/Tone/Style/Transpose lock functions with the upgraded E-X series version.

MP3 PADS

The MP3/Audio pads with a unique feature equipped with 12 velocity-sensitive pads that enable the user to play selected WAV or MP3 files only by striking on the pads. This feature is huge help because a selected Musical Audio phrase like a professional Loop Sampler can be played. The New E-X Series upgraded version allows storing audio samples directly to USB Pen Drive.

METRONOME

A metronome with E-X Arranger help you keep a consistent tempo so that you don’t inadvertently speed up or slow down while practicing or performing. It provides a steady click without any Doubt.

You may arrange and load custom styles into the E-X memory using our Style Converter program for Windows and MacOS. Scales, tuning, and other characteristics can be changed to meet your performance requirements.

REVOLUTIONARY CHANGES IN STYLE AND SOUND OUTPUT WITH ADDITIONAL VARIATION

The innovative auto-accompaniment features of the E-X Series allow you to command a full band with your left hand while playing along with the right.

Enjoy 300 preset styles ranging from rock, pop, and jazz to ballads, dance music, and traditional styles from around the world with the Extended Additional Variation.
